Thanks to international cooperation led by the UNESCO Chair, students of the Institute of Pedagogy, studying the specialisations Career Counselling and Career Coaching, Adult Education and Social Marketing, Counselling and Psychopedagogical Assistance, under the supervision of their lecturers Dr Violetta Podgórna and Dr Marek Podgórny, realised a study visit to University of Coimbra from 28 September to 7 October 2022. The trip took place at the invitation of the Dean of the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences Prof. Maria Paula Paixão.

Students had the opportunity to attend course activities, specially organised lectures and seminars at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences (Faculdade de Psicologia e de Ciências da Educação) of the University of Coimbra (Universidade de Coimbra). In addition, they attended meetings at the Serviço público de emprego nacional, Centro de Emprego e Formação Profissional de Coimbra, Qualifica Center, as well as at the Schools Agrupamento de escolas Eugénio de Castro and Escola de Hotelaria de Coimbra. They learnt about original system solutions and interesting working methods.

The visit culminated in a meeting with the Vice-Chancellor for International Cooperation Prof. João Nuno Calvão and a tour of the magnificent university museum. The immediate outcome of the visit is a joint plan to strengthen cooperation within the UNITWIN NETWORK Life designing interventions (counselling, guidance, education) for decent work and sustainable development.
